Patriot Guard escorts unclaimed veterans to Bath

Through a national veterans recovery program, five World War II and two Vietnam veterans were laid to rest Friday at Bath National Cemetery.

“Very little is known about these forgotten veterans, but what we do know is that at a time when the world was engulfed in war, these men stepped up and offered to sacrifice their all in service to our country,” Patriot Guard Rider Bill Schaaf told a group of more than 300 people at the cemetery.
