Independence day is a time to remember the moment that America was born.

Our ancestors won our freedom by fighting for it and dying for it, and it’s no different with our soldiers today who fight to retain our freedom.

The Fourth of July is a day of celebration, but the traditional fireworks meant to represent the bombs bursting in air may sometimes become a bit too real for veterans with any form of PTSD.

Shane Thomason is an army veteran who says he doesn’t do fireworks ever since a fellow soldier from Minnesota was blown up by an IED.
