Public Invited to Share Stories of Community Heroes at #IntrepidAmongUs
The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum today debuted a new campaign — Intrepid Among Us – to recognize those heroes serving our country when we need it most.
Throughout its history, 50,000 brave heroes served aboard Intrepid, sacrificing their personal safety for the greater good. Today, it’s a new conflict, with a new enemy – a global pandemic that has changed our lives in ways we never could have imagined.
“Now, the frontline heroes are healthcare professionals, bus drivers, teachers, delivery persons, grocery store workers and many more — those selflessly putting their own health at risk and providing essential services for the benefit of all,” said Susan Marenoff Zausner, President of the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum. “They are the Intrepid Among Us.”
The Intrepid invites everyone to send, post, and share stories, videos or photos of the heroes in their own communities using #IntrepidAmongUs.
