The congressman was at the Keystone Development in Johnson City where seven new homes for veterans were unveiled.
Multiple agencies including the Tennessee Housing Development Agency and the Johnson City Housing Authority have been working on this project since 2012.
“It’s been a lot of effort no doubt,” Keystone Development president Richard McClain said. “This doesn’t happen on its own.”
But through hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of grants, these homes were built specifically for veterans.
“It’s absolutely wonderful,” said veteran Adam McCullough. “It’s the nicest place I’ve ever lived.”
