âItâs Hard to Be an Outlaw,â from Shaverâs first studio album in seven years, takes a jab at modern country
Rolling Stone Music
If there are two men qualified to weigh in on what it means to be a country outlaw, theyâre Billy Joe Shaver and Willie Nelson.
Shaver hopes the release of Long in the Tooth will remind listeners that great art is still being made by veterans long since struck from radio playlists.
âItâs just stupidity,â he says of the lack of attention paid to older artists. âItâs like walking down a hall and seeing a Picasso and saying, âDamn, that thingâs old! Letâs throw it out.â Fortunately, you canât burn songs. You can burn pictures, but a song will live forever.âÂ
Some super stars nowadays, gets too far off the ground Singing about the backroads, they never have been down They go and call it country, but that ainât the way it sounds Itâs enough to make a renegade want to terrorize the town Â

It’s hard to do ANYTHING of quality in America, anymore. Painting, dancing, designing things, making things, writing about anything that matters, you name it. The bastards are trying to destroy us, because in their demonic “minds” it makes them look better, superior, etc.
Unfortunately, the demons have just about succeeded in silencing us in the mainstream outlets. But in reality, they’ve exposed themselves. We/ve had en enough. It won’t be long before they FINALLY learn the meaning of the word “holocaust.”
